Topics - Exodus of YouTube
Exodus of YouTube: Yes, there is an exodus of YouTube it has officially begin. Marijuana Channels have been deleted from YouTube. These Channels are in full support of Marijuana and YouTube has decided (unknown, as of yet) delete these channels. These channels have been doing these pro-Marijuana videos for a long time and now someone had come up with a website that is dedicated to hosting video content that is pro-Marijuana. I'm a Voluntaryist on this issue. I personally don't take any drugs because of my personal preference 90% and religious 10%. Kyle of Secular Talk (I don't agree with him almost on anything), he basically said in one of his recent videos that he might be next down the line. YouTube has becoming a hell hole for those who want to create videos and make money. YouTube (before 2012) had a revenue sharing platform that allows video creators make money. Some of these YouTubers have made decent money until 2012, it started with the whole idea of people being "offended" and those who are "offended" went after the advertisers to start demonetize. At this point, YouTube is turning into a non-video sharing platform for creators. I did a string of videos about various topics around 2014/15 but I personally made those videos private due to the lack of interest that I wanted to do. Anyways, the demonetization has hurt so many video creators. The way they were able to get around it, is through crowdfunding efforts such as Patreon and even just doing PayPal donations. This of course has only made videos "expensive" for the enthusiastic supporter of their favorite channels. Right now, a lot of these channels have been able to get by with using Patreon and old fashion PayPal. But now this might not even be the case soon to be. I'm going to call it. In about five years time, no one is going to use YouTube except for music videos. In order to make YouTube videos one would have to go through a lot of hoops to be an official YouTuber. This might be what is going to happen in the next five years or so. I'm just speculating. YouTube doesn't have to do this at all, because they are powerful and doesn't need to "suck up" to advertisers. This isn't really about property rights because I a firm believer in property rights. But this is about a culture of Freedom of Speech. Freedom of Speech should be a foundation in American culture and when people and companies set up policies that negatively effect speech even if they have the "right" to do it based on Property Rights. It sets up a culture that is anti-Freedom of Speech. This is the biggest issue that I have with YouTube. I respect there decision based on property rights. This is why I have my website and I can post stuff on my website that I would like to post without being censored. I own the website I'm the king, as long as I don't infringe on anyone else's rights, then I should write and create what I want to put on my website. This is why I shy away from YouTube and Facebook and I don't put to much emphasis on other platforms. In the case of Steemit, it is a lot better because it isn't directly mine. I'm going to put out an official PDF file about what a content creator can do in terms of brand protection. YouTube will fall and in this case YouTube will be at fault and no one else. It isn't really like MySpace to Facebook. It is more like YouTube shooting themselves in the foot, then the hand that cause the shooting of the foot, then proceeding to cut its head off. Then YouTube will be dead, lying on the floor and investors will have to pick up the pieces to figure out what went wrong with YouTube and Google. After my big long rant about YouTube and its stupidity. There are some platforms that might be of interest. Steemit/DTube is an upcoming potential star. There is of course Daily Motion (still around), Vimeo, Metacafe are the more established centralized video sites that one can upload videos to. Of course there are other sites that offer video sharing but are sometimes limited and only for niches. Everyone content creator needs a plan of action if one of the sites shuts down the account. Horse gets "legal" justice: This is going crazy. Judges are actually applying human rights to animals. This will soon turn into a stupidity in about five to fifteen years. Take this to the logical conclusion and one can say that these animals have the right to vote. I don't believe anyone has the right to vote unless they contractually agree to be part of a system. But that is a different philosophical discussion. Now, applying human rights to animal rights is insane. Now, it is one thing to abuse animals and be tried in terms of abusing animals. But having a person set up a trust for a particular animal for vet care and the horse suing the previous owner for the cost of fixing the horse, is insane. This will lead to a society that values animals as the same as humans. This type of thinking points to evolutionary thinking. Answers In Genesis is right when we as a society, believes in evolution. Evolution will lead to the logical conclusion that the Christian God doesn't exist and that we humans are basically a highest level of organism. So, when animal rights activist say that we are on the same page as animals and that animals can sue their owner it does stem from the evolutionary point of view. If we are going down this road to have animals having the right to vote, I would like to see all animals have the right to vote. Primarily from farms. The farmers would have a bigger say in government and that the government will be in more favor of property rights because farmers would have a bigger say. They own property so they will lean towards a pro property rights than city folks. Also there might be a more of a demand for inexpensive animals. - https://abcnews.go.com/US/horse-named-justice-sues-owner-100000-neglect/story?id=54880051 Bill Weld "The "Original" Libertarian: There is some rumors about Bill Weld the VP candidate of the Libertarian Party in 2016 running for the Presidential ticket of the Libertarian Party. I don't care. I literally don't care about the Libertarian Party or any political party because all politics is stupid and insane. The main issue I have with the Libertarian Party is it is a political party. Now, do they have their hearts in the right place trying to reduce government, sure a lot of them do. I came into the realization that I can no longer participate in politics, which is why I don't really want to write or talk about politics that much. I'm trying to stay away from politics as much as I can. My family and many of my friends are very much very political. I'm trying to not care about politics but I get drag into different aspects of politics and some of it is my fault. I try to turn the conversation into more of a philosophical one but I get "shut down" because my viewpoints are too extreme. Well I do give them that because everyone else is fine with trampling my rights of Self-Ownership, Property Rights and Contract Rights. These three rights basically lead me to dump the political system and not care about the political system. - https://www.boston.com/news/politics/2018/05/03/bill-weld-2020 Expats: What is an expat? It is a person who is living abroad typically three to six months in different countries that isn't their country of citizenship. It is much easier to be an expat than completely change one's citizenship. A lot of expats tend to live in a country for less than a year then move over to another country. The expats that been doing this type of living for years usually stick with a good three to four different countries that they rotate. This is one of the ways that people can avoid government regulations legally. In the United States, if one is living abroad and in a certain situation they can not have to pay any federal income tax under $100K. I'm not exactly sure what all that in tails but it can be done and people have done it where they don't pay US federal income tax. It is interesting to live abroad, I plan not to do any living abroad lifestyle for the next five to seven years because I would like to see my portfolio pay my bills in the United States. I'm open for options to live abroad but I don't plan to any time soon. Unless my cryptos gain a good 200x in the next two years or so. Then I would have enough to be financially free. But I can't really rely on that so I have to assume I can do it in five to seven years. Is the expat life a good lifestyle for a Christian. It depends on how one does it. Now, one can live an expat lifestyle that is self-centered. But living a expat lifestyle to help fund different Christian organizations and/or help support some local churches that are in need of some funding in the areas that one is living at then it can be done in a way that isn't that self-centered. So, a lot of expats does is live in three or four different countries and rotate between the countries. If one is an American citizen, is able to not pay federal income tax then that money can be used for Christian purposes. Now, it might be suggested to have a "home" church in the country one citizenship of. One can be a non-financial missionary (self funded through investments). T-Mobile & Sprint Merger: T-Mobile (my carrier) is merging with Sprint. My first thought was all great there goes T-Mobile. At least I don't have any money in either because I would be incline to sell off my shares if I own some shares. I did flirted with the idea of owning some shares in either company before I had an actual strategy of investing (which is monthly dividend stocks). I hope that the "poopyness" of Sprint dies off (aka the lack of good customer service). T-Mobile has a strong hold on customer service. That is one of the reasons why I switched from Sprint to T-Mobile. Internet Security VPN: I up my internet security over the past few days. I'm a little paranoid with the government spying on my internet data. I know that they will get a lot of it but that is why I ditched gmail as my primary email and use Protonmail as my primary. Now since I use Android, I can't fully ditch my Google Account for good, but I have made steps in the right direction to pull my data off of the NSA spying, the best that I can. I use a VPN (Virtual Private Network), that is based outside of the United States. It is a Switzerland based company, because it is based in Switzerland the laws are very pro privacy. I don't mind companies mining my data but I do have a problem with government either buying that data or the companies selling or giving that data over to the government. The VPN isn't by Protonmail because Protonmail's VPN isn't as good as the other one that I use because I'm a bit lazy with the amount of work. Now, my VPN app on my phone does suck my batter dry, but I guess that is the cost of internet security. I bring my phone charger everywhere I go with my cell phone. Moving out West: (Technically) I'm thinking about moving out west further out into the country due to the cost of living out there is about half, without having a room mate. If I do move closer to the Twin Cities, I would want a room mate. I want to live as cheaply as possible and funnel money into my brokerage account. Once I'm able to pay my bills through my brokerage account, I would be financially free. Thank you for reading "My thoughts of the day" I hope that you have a blessed day! - In Christ Alone! |
