As I've been thinking lately about different issues within the Church and the broader culture, it usually boils down to Genesis and how much value a Christian holds to Genesis. Even if a person believes in Genesis as the young universe model that Genesis tells us about the world but don't hold it in high regard might waver on some issues. Hence why almost always point to Genesis when things comes up. Take out Genesis, take out Jesus. This is happening for the past 150 years or so of the Church. Basically the whole notion that one can believe that Genesis means that it is billions of years old and just believe in Jesus, Jesus will eventually be taken out. Hence why we are in today's world of Christianity. I know it is now an unpopular view to take on the young universe* model of creation but if one just reads the Genesis account as is and do the calculations it would be about 6,000 to 8,000 year old universe (at most 10,000 years if one wants to stretch it a bit). According to Genesis, the Earth or the Universe is billions of years old.
Race is an issue that has to be talked about because the least raciest country on Earth (United States) is overly obsessive about race. Race should be the easiest to deal with. We are all from Adam/Noah and we are all distant cousins from one another. But because not that many Christians in the western countries know the Scriptures well enough to know that Genesis is where we are all one race not different races. Yes, that is right, not that many Christians in the westernized countries, where the Bible is so easy to get a hold on it via websites, apps, physical copies and so on, know the Scriptures well enough to know that we are all from Adam/Noah. And if they do, they don't think about it and its implications or they take the un-Biblical approach and take the billions of year old Universe. And enough generations of Christians has passed and we are were we are to day because the English Christian Churches allowed Darwinism to take hold of Christian acceptance. The church should have back then rejected the whole notion of Darwinism evolution. We are know fighting over the issue of race, social justice and other issues because of the issue of Darwinism evolution as an acceptable viewpoint in the Church. Conclusion: Take out Genesis, Take out Jesus. This is my stance, and I'm holding onto the Truths of Scripture and I'm a work in progress like all other Christians. I don't care if I get thrown into prison or be culturally persecuted because of my stance on Scripture ALONE. I hope that you have a wonder day and strive to serve Jesus in all areas of life. *Reason why I say universe is because of the Mormon issue. Some Mormons do believe in the history of man as 6,000 to 10,000 years old and maybe the Earth itself but not the universe. Hence why I emphasis the young universe model.
