It is that time of year again as Christians observe Holy Week. Psalm Sunday to Easter Sunday. Because I kind of grew up with different denominations within the Christian Church, I have never really “focused” on Holy Week, but try to think about “Holy Week” throughout the year, it is important but not a high priority in my personal life, because I focused on Christ Himself and His work on my life through the working of the Holy Spirit. Another aspect that I don’t really like is that it is the week that a lot of nominal Christians go to Church two time a year, Easter and Christmas. The pews are largely full of nominal Christians that just “do it” out of tradition, especially in America. I never really understood that particular tradition. Because if Christianity is important to an individual then they would go to church every Sunday and try to live a Christian life. That is why it is critical for the Gospel needs to be preached on Easter and Christmas. Like any other Sunday worship it is important to preach the Gospel but out of all the days of the year these two days are important because it may make a person realize that they are in need of the Savior, and strive to live a Christian life. That is my general thoughts about the Holy Week, but one of the oldest churches today is the Coptic Christian Church that is mainly in Egypt. The Coptic Church traces their line down to St. Mark from one of the apostles. That being said, they didn’t go with the Roman Catholic Church much like the Eastern Orthodox Church. We had three significant churches of the past and still in the present. The Coptic Church did how ever has some things that were closer to Reformed Tradition but also far away from a Calvinist viewpoint. They believe in the notion that God and Man has a part in Man’s salvation, in which the Calvinist viewpoint would disagree with that. So, in part, Arminianism on this viewpoint is closer to the Coptic Church. Considering the three different early churches, I would go for the Coptic Church over the Roman Catholic and the Eastern Orthodox. There isn’t much resources out there when it comes to the Coptic Church compared to the Roman Catholic Church and the Protestants. But none the less, I would like to take the time and write about an important part of the Christian history and is mainly forgotten especially the western nations. I understand that the Protestant and Roman Catholic Churches have played a bigger role in Christian history and understanding but there needs to be a focus on the historical viewpoint of the Coptic and Eastern Orthodox Churches as well. They too are important. That is my thoughts about the whole Coptic Church and its importance to history in relations with the other main Christian denominations.

North Korea is getting closer to be able to send a Nuclear weapon at the United States, they have been saying that they want to attack the US for decades now and it is somewhat coming to deaf ears. But there is still a possibility that North Korea will attack the United States. Will I think it will lead to WWIII? It depends on what happens, if North Korea attacks the United States first then it will not lead to WWIII, because that means that North Korea will be clearly in the wrong and an international movement will condone North Korea.
The second scenario is that the United States attacks and then it might lead to a WWIII, if Russia and China backs North Korea. It largely depends on if Russia and China backs North Korea. Russia, will most likely be a little more hesitant if they do decide to back North Korea. The only reason Russia would make such a move if the United States relations have deteriorated. Will it be an actual WWIII possibly but it might resemble closer to Cold War where only two or three countries are arming up themselves. If there is a fired shot, then all bets are off and it might pull the world into a nuclear Holocaust that is more devastating than the actual Holocaust. So how should the United States go about the issue of North Korea? It should build a better relationship with both Russia and China. How can the United States do that, by allowing true free trade, where individuals from the United States can conduct business as how they see fit. Ending any tariffs because it will only be passed down to the consumer of the products or services. The answer is to trade with other nations, even if we don’t like a particular nation. The idea that North Korea will be by itself and not be allied with any major country is the best because I can’t see the United States doing business in North Korea anytime soon. Because North Korea is so crazy, I don’t really want to see much trade with the country because North Korea might be crazy enough to attack the United States regardless if the US has an open trade policy with North Korea. The best thing that the United States could do is to strengthen the relationship with China and Russia. That way the three countries won’t be at each other throats. Another thing that the US could do (and is doing right now) is to develop a missile defense system that will deter any on coming missiles to the US. It is still early to tell that it can consistently deter missiles. They have one successful missile test out of the four in the past five years or so. This is why the United States need a strong Swiss Model of defense. The US already has armed citizens now the military needs to be focused on building an excellent missile defense system that could reach around the globe. This would really deter a lot of military actions from anybody. Having an actual strong national defense would be necessary at least for the time being, until there is enough free nations that it wouldn’t be that necessary to have much of a military. I’m not talking about having bases around the world, it would be best if the President decided to bring all of the troops home right away. He has that power to move troops and military personal, so he could decide to pack up and leave Europe, Middle East, Asia and the rest of the world and have all military personal be on American soil. All President Trump is doing right now is just doing the same thing for the past 20 plus years using the military not for defensive purposes but to nation build and messing with other countries in particular the middle eastern countries. Let the local countries figure out their own problems and leave everyone alone and have a true free trade policy that lets any of the citizens to do business without much oversight or taxing. That is what most of these “Free Trade Agreements” are, a tax policy that each of the countries that sign the agreement are bound to. This is why a lot of governments around the world favor these types of agreements, they get a little bit more money from their citizens. Conclusion: True Free Trade because this will deter a lot of war mongering. This is why China and Russia might not want to be in WWIII is because there economies will be wrecked if they choose to actually fight against the United States. |
