I'm a very satisfied Blackberry Keyone customer! I went through videos and articles about different smartphones and there glories and failures and have chosen Blackberry Keyone. The two primary reasons why I wanted to get the Keyone is security and functionality. Security is very important especially when it comes to this day of age where really anything can be up for grabs. Since the smartphones has become the all important piece of equipment that most Americans and first world nations have become accustom and is almost a need especially when it comes to business and work. So, security is the "holy grail" of why I got the phone. I know that there is a phone called the Privacy phone that is coming out by the end of the year the price tag was way too much for me of $1,100 verse $550 that I bought for the Keyone. The Privacy phone is aimed for the users that are in need of the most secured phone that is humanly possible. I'm not an early adopter of any type of technology, if I was I would differently not be in Minnesota. The Keyone most visual appearance is an actual keyboard. The keyboard is great by itself but Blackberry decided to have not just 26 keyboard short cuts but 52 short cuts to apps and widgets. Unlock the phone, press and hold Y for "YouTube" or hold it longer and it will go to another app or widget that one has set. I haven't master it because I'm so use to using the touch screen. But I'm slowly figuring out the keyboard and eventually I will be able to use the short cuts. I had to make a decision by the end of the year what to do with my phone situation because Virgin Mobile have made the decision to be an exclusive Apple carrier. I'm very much an Android lover (not Google, I know it is supported by Google but it is what it is, plus Google can only go so far, I have beef with Google, not directly to me but what there are doing to YouTube and Google.com) anyways I enjoy the customization of Android being open source and having anyone being able to get the code of the basic android and build there own system on it. So, by the end of the year I had to switch carriers (I may have another year but I don't want to wait until the last minute before ditching Virgin Mobile). I switch to T-Mobile. Now I bought the Keyone as "unlocked" meaning I bought it without the carrier. There are two things that I like unlocked phones is that first off, the person that bought the phone is the owner, there isn't any dispute between carrier and user of the phone. It does happen where the user of the phone sign away their right to own the phone, so avoiding all of that I decided to buy the Keyone unlocked. Also the issue of bloatware. Meaning useless apps that are associated with the carrier. Most carrier apps are useless the only one that is really of value is the account app. Also it shows the carrier when one turns on the phone. Which is another added space that could be used for other things. I know that Blackberry have some bloatware with theirs but it does have a purpose, some of the apps I don't use, I have decided to either delete the app or disable it. That being said, I'm impressed with the Keyone, it isn't for anyone. Those who are into photos, mobile gaming, or sound quality should avoid the Keyone, but those who want to it for security and for "getting stuff done" should go for the Keyone. The Keyone's target market is business and security minded people. That being said, it is still a major upgrade from my previous smartphone which was a cheap $100 smartphone that was Samsung Galaxy J3 for Virgin Mobile. Of course there is some trade offs like having a bigger screen but other than that I don't really have too many complaints about it. Thanks for reading my blog!
PS, I did use it last Sunday for sermon notes and I really enjoy the Keyboard, I was trying to get use to the Keyboard but I think it would be a great sermon note taking phone. A funny side note, that everyone that was looking for the Keyone at the Best Buy store that I went to, was hook line a sinker in buying the Keyone. It is one of the fastest and easiest sales that Best Buy had to do. People that were going for the Keyone bought it right there. I'm sure most of the Keyone customers would have as much or more knowledge of the Keyone than sales people. I know what type of customer that I'm am know, a very direct, straight to the point and get out of there, when it come to expensive purchases. I also had a few Best Buy gift cards which did help me swallow the price tag of the Keyone, which is my most expensive phone that I have purchase. FM Static might be coming out with a new album. Trevor McNevan of Thousand Foot Krutch and Fm Static. He created Thousand Foot Krutch and is still his main gig. But FM Static is his side gig and after about 6 years of thinking that Trevor McNevan just kind of kicked FM Static out the window, he might be considering a new album. The reason why I say "might" because he dropped a big hint on Twitter about the album name. The album name seems to be a camping oriented theme. So, it might taken him six years to have enough songs to do a full length album of FM Static because Trevor's flagship band is Thousand Foot Krutch. If it is all true, I will be very excited to get that album!!! So, I will keep posting anything new about the potential up coming stuff of FM Static!!! By the way, these two bands are my favorite bands in the whole wide world. Yes, I feel like a kid at the candy store!!!
De-Google-ized It has been about a good year or so that Google has been demonetize many content creators. These content creators have been demonetized for controversial topics. Many YouTuberers had to change their revenue strategy over the course of months. Many of them had gone over to Patreon and some of them had even drop Patreon due to political incorrectness. Google/YouTube and other left leaning businesses have been really pushing for this type of censorship. So, what is a Voluntaryist Response to this? It is to respect the rights of Google and Patreon to be as leftist loonies as much as they want. That being said, I will no longer be using most of the Google services due to the fact that they are clearly picking leftist radicals over many of the other various viewpoints. I have been saying that one can't put all their revenue stream into one platform. Have at least two or three types of revenue streams. There has been continue fall out of YouTubers of thinking that they won't be demonetized because of their topics. The whole "micro-aggression" that is being claimed or some kind of version of it being thrown into various YouTubers that don't even talk about controversial topics. If it offends somebody it should be demonetized, well, that is basically every YouTuber. Now what is going to happen is that the established YouTube channels will be making direct deals with YouTube to protect their videos from being demonetized. Someone has pointed out that YouTube is becoming a snow flake website and sooner or later everyone else that isn't part of the YouTube establishment would be the ones making money off of YouTube ads. I kind of for saw some of this coming and have made plans in accordance to the possibility of Google canceling my account. That being said, I don't have much of a presence on YouTube and after this, I won't be planning on to. One could continue to upload but now should have an expectation that they won't be making any money on it. I won't be closing my account at Google anytime soon but have decided to keep both Google account technically active and making Proton Mail as my primary email service. I have seriously thought about De-Googling myself for sometime but I didn't have a "push" until now. The reason why I still keep my account technically active over at Google for sometime is their might be a change later down in the road if they do too much of the leftist radical pandering.
I do have to clarify here I'm not really talking about the left in general but the leftist radicals are given a pass while more "rational" leftists and conservatives and libertarians have all been hit with some kind of demonetization. Some more than others and a lot of libertarians saw this coming and some conservatives. This is why one must have their own website that they own and operate or at least have it in place of that just in case their main revenue stream gets reduced. Unless they are making the bulk of their revenue on their own platform (website), then they won't have to worry about it. |
