I'm formally rejecting both "Libertarianism" and "Democracy."
Simplified Reason: Both are fundamentally man center. More complex reasons: Libertarianism is clearly a man center philosophy and putting the individual as a god. This is the logical conclusion of Libertarianism. I can not out of good conscience support Libertarianism in terms of a political philosophy. I'm basically dropping the label. Democracy is an even more dangerous philosophy than libertarianism. Democracy basically seeks to have 51% rule over 49%, aka mob rule. Now, there isn't really any pure Democracies out there, most have some kind of parliament system or legislative system (like in the USA). In reality, it is more like 30% ruling over the 70% eligible voters. Typically, roughly 40% voting population don't vote for various reason. Of course, it is different in each area. So, we get in most situations where 30% to 35% of the population making decisions for the rest of the nation. The politics of envy are very high in a Democracy, and envy is a sin. I suppose that one could not be envious and still participate in a governmental democracy (aka voting) but typically it is rare to see those types of people voting. So what is next? I would consider myself a Jesus Freak that holds to a Reformed Christian perspective. Reformed Christianity is the most consistent strain of Christianity to the 66 books of the Bible. So, how do I conduct myself in society? You will not see me at the polls or telling people that they should support x candidate. I will point out that, Jesus is King, why would I trade Jesus for a politician, this will be more or less my answer to things of politics. I will be advocating people to get out of politics altogether and just focus on Jesus as King, not some politician. I'll still have conversations about politics, but only in terms of analysis of the situation or just personal preference (not actually voting). So, I will continue to hang around libertarians and culturally right wing people, mainly because the left has gone insane in terms of the way they want society to go. Another thing I will continue to advocate is homeschooling, going to church and glorifying Jesus in all areas of life. Blessings! In Christ Alone, Terence of the TSKJesusFreak.com
